Alright, so this first pic isn't actually their birthday. It was cupcakes at their friend Lydia's party, but since she is only a day younger than them, I thought "close enough". :)
They opened some presents on their actual birthday, since we weren't going to have a party for another week. Noah got a super cool Hummer....and it broke. Rich repaired the wheels and axles in every way possible, to the point that we threw up our hands and gave up. We gave him an OSU di-cast car that was decoration.
Super handsome Avery and his car. These pictures of the famous Avery smile are getting harder to come by. He wants to play with the camera now, so he's usually throwing a fit about that when I want to take his picture.
Opening some more gifts.
The cake. THE CAKE! Our amazing friend Tricia did it again and it was spectacular (as Avery would say. Yes, he really does use that word, thank you Sesame Street) The construction equipment are toys, the dirt crushed cookies, the rocks chocolate, the bricks pez. Amazing, and tasty.
Avery opening Aunt Michelle's present. It's a tree with beanie animals in it. Noah loves the fox and carries it everywhere now.
Our good friend Iris helping Noah open his fuzzy froggy back pack. Iris, despite her need, does not have grandchildren, and we are far away from grandparents, so she fills in as acting Alaskan grandmother. She is doing a beautiful job of showing them off to everyone she knows and bragging about them.
The boys and Lucy check out the cake.
They were fascinated.
They each chose a favorite tractor and held on!
I'm removing the nice outer shirt to save it from frosting.
Avery-I have a tractor, oh yeah, and cake. Noah-I have cake.
Noah and his cake eating, full body experience. My boy does like his sweets.
