So yes, these pictures are a bit old now (maybe a month and a half?) but YOU haven't seen them yet! This is the day the boys got their new boosters. It was mostly Mama pushing for them. I figured since they were at the table every time I ate begging for my food, we might as well get rid of the high chairs, make some room (HA! I'll tell you why in a bit) and let them eat with the big kids. They love them! Didn't even throw a fit about the chairs going away, just helped Dada take them apart (yes, with tool belts and circoco's). We actually bought one set, then had to take them back and get different ones because the original ones were so flimsy!
Avery the big boy! With the table like it was, we actually did have more room, but there is a lip that runs around the underside of the table. You either had to force their legs under it, or not scoot them up, so we pulled out the leaves, the boys sit at the end, and we lost the extra space. Ah well, pipe dream.
Noah the big boy! Look at that beautiful smile! Now comes the funny part.
This was the first day they really started to pretend! They wanted to feed baby Elmo in their chairs. Avery started it. He put Elmo in the chair, and of course needed a bowl and spoon. Luckily, Elmo comes with his own bib. Then Noah needed a bowl and spoon. Avery fed him for awhile, then wandered off.
Noah continued to feed him, then let me know he needed more "food". I told him that since it was pretend, he could have as much as he wanted. He looked at his crazy mother, walked to Avery's abandoned bowl, used his spoon to scoop out a big helping of pretend, put it in his bowl, checked to see that he had "enough", and went back to feeding Elmo. I thought I was going to pee my pants while crying! When he feeds him he yells "Nummy Num!" Not sure where he go it, I don't say it.
For the past two days, Avery has carried around Mouse from "If you give a Mouse a cookie". Mouse "has" colored (Avery held the crayons), eaten lunch (I convinced him that since Mouse was pretend we should use the play kitchen food), snuggled, and almost vacuumed (Avery lost interest in that one). I Love them!!
